We are happy to offer participants fourteen unique walk sites to choose from. Participants can stroll along the boardwalk overlooking the beautiful Atlantic Ocean or the New York City skyline. Walk the streets of a quaint town or around a lovely park.
The 2010 Walk MS will be held on Sunday, April 18th. Registration begins at 9:00am and we walk at 10:00am. We will walk rain or shine! Choose from the following locations:
Bergen County/Ridgewood: Graydon Pool, 9 miles or 3 mile accessible
Essex County/Roseland: Mack Cali, 4 miles or 2 mile accessible
Hudson County/Jersey City: Liberty State Park, 4.5 miles
Hunterdon County/Flemington: Liberty Village Premium Outlets, 4 miles
Monmouth County/Freehold: CentraState Medical Wellness Center, 6 miles
Morris County/Roxbury: Horseshoe Lake Park, 4 miles
Mercer County/Hamilton: Steinert High School, 6.5 miles
Middlesex County/North Brunswick: Babbage Park, 4.5 miles
Monmouth County/Belmar: Bar Anticipation, 6.5 miles
Monmouth County/Sandy Hook: Gateway National Park (Area E), 6.5 miles
Ocean County/Seaside: Tri Boro First Aid Squad, 6 miles
Passaic County/Hewitt: Wawayanda State Park, 4 miles
Somerset County/Somerville: Adamsville Elementary School, 5 miles

Bergen County/Ridgewood-Graydon Pool
Route 17 North or South to the Linwood Avenue exit. Follow signs for Ridgewood. Drive west towards the Village of Ridgewood and Maple Avenue. Parking is available in township & Graydon Pool lots.
Essex County/Roseland-Becker Farms
Garden State Parkway to 280 West. Take exit 5B. At the first light, make a left into Becker Farms Road. Make first left on ADP Blvd and then a right into 85 Livingston Avenue.
Hudson County/Jersey City-Liberty State Park (CRRNJ Train Terminal)
NJ Turnpike North or South to exit 14B. Make a left past the toll booths. Take road approximately 1.5 miles. Make a left on Freedom Way. Take this to the end and make a right. Parking lot will be on your right. Check-In will be in front of the CRRNJ Train Terminal)
Hunterdon County/Flemington-Liberty Village Premium Outlets
From NJ Turnpike Exit 10/New Brunswick to 1-287. Take Rt. 22 to Route 202 South to Flemington.
From I-287 Exit 13/Morristown Road to Route 202 South to Flemington
Stay right at circle. Take Route 12 West. Continue to follow 12 West signs. LVPO will be on your right.
Monmouth County/Freehold-CentraState Medical Center Wellness Center
Route 9 North into Freehold. Take exit West Main Street/Route 537. Turn left and process west of 537 for 1.6 miles. Right into the Medical Center and left into the parking area for the Ambulatory Campus Health Awareness Center. Registration will be held in the Health Awareness Center.
Morris County/Roxbury-Horseshoe Lake Park
From I-80 East - Exit 28 to Ledgewood exit. Route 10 East to Eyland Ave. Follow from Route 10 directions below.
From I-80 West - Exit 43 to I-287 south. I-287 south to exit 39. Route 10 West to Eyland Avenue. Follow from Route 10 directions below.
From Route 10 - Take Eyland Avenue south to Roxbury Recreation Center.
Mercer County/Hamilton Township-Steinert High School
Route 33 to Yardville-Hamilton Square Road. Left at exit. Steinert High School will be on right.
Route 195 - Exit 3B (Yardville Hamilton Square Road)
Follow through traffic light at Klockner Road. Left into school.
Middlesex County/North Brunswick-Babbage Park
Route 18 to Route 1 South. Make left onto first Milltown Road exit. Take to the end. Make left at light. Make first right onto Herman. Make first right onto Cypress. Stay right to follow Willow to the park. Left onto Laurel Place into parking lot.
Monmouth County/Belmar-Bar Anticipation
Route 35 North Right on 16th Avenue Route 35 South Over bridge, left on 16th Avenue Garden State Parkway North & South Exit 98 to Route 138 East to Route 35 North. Right onto 16th Avenue. Route 195 East becomes 138 East to Route 35 North. Right onto 16th Avenue.
Monmouth County/Sandy Hook-Gateway National Park (Area E)
Garden State Parkway - Exit 117, bear left onto Rt 36 East to end. Cross over the Highlands Bridge. Follow signs for Sandy Hook and Gateway National Park. (currently under construction, so please follow any detours towards Sandy Hook) Go approximately 4 miles and enter Area E on right.
Route 35 (South Jersey). Take Rt. 35 North to 36 East (by Monmouth Mall), follow Rt. 36 East to Ocean Blvd. Make left to follow Route 36 North. Follow signs for Sandy Hook. Go approximately 4 miles and enter Area E on right.
Route 35 (North Jersey) Take Route 35 South to follow Route 36 East to end and cross over Highlands Bridge. Go approximately 4 miles and enter Area E on right.
Ocean County/Seaside Park/Seaside Heights-Tri Boro First Aid Squad
Route 37 East over the bridge and stay to the right - follow signs to Seaside Park Island Beach State Park. Stay in the middle lane around the S turn and merge onto Central Ave. Turn left onto J Street.
Passaic County/Hewitt Wawayanda State Park
From 17N: North on NJ-17 N, NJ-17 N becomes I-287 N / NJ-17 N (Crossing into NEW YORK), Merge onto I-87 N / New York State Thruway N via the exit on the Left toward Albany / RT-17 N, Take the RT-17 N / RT-59 exit- EXIT 15A- toward Sloatsburg / Suffern, Turn Left onto NY-17 / Orange Turnpike, Take the Sterling Mine Rd, Stay Straight to go onto Sterling Mine Rd. Continue to follow STERLING MINE RD (Crossing into NEW JERSEY), Sterling Mine Rd becomes Sloatsburg Rd, Turn RIGHT onto Margaret King Ave, Turn Right onto Greenwood Lake Turnpike, Stay Straight to go onto Union Valley Rd, Stay Straight to go onto Warwick Turnpike, Left into Wawayanda State Park.
Somerset County/Somerville-Adamsville Elementary School
Route 287 Route 28/Somerville Exit. Remain on Route 28 through 2 traffic lights. After the second traffic light, Adamsville Elementary School is about a mile on left.
Union County/Cranford-Nomahegan Park
From the Garden State Parkway, Exit 137 (Rt. 24). Turn right off of exit onto North Avenue which becomes Westfield Avenue (Rt. 28). Proceed (West) to Springfield Avenue and turn right. Nomahegan Park is ? of a mile on the right. Parking is available across the street at Union County College.
From Rt. 22 (East or West), Exit at Springfield Avenue, and proceed towards Cranford/Westfield. At fourth light, turn right, continue on Springfield Avenue for two blocks. Nomahegan Park is on the left. Parking is available across the street at Union County College. |
